Bounce Fix (Quickpost)

I've added SDL to the Bounce download, which should make it work on Macs without SDL installed. Possibly.

Life Beta for Download
Sun 13 June, 2010, 14:11:36 by RatchetTagged: life, download
Late post ahoy! We've not managed yo get together for another BSOD hackday (aiming at Tuesday), but we have been working on things. Battery's infiltrating the competition, Propellor is taking photos and refining an idea for a new game (just a P game, though), and I've been playing with OpenGL trying to remake Life.
Since I don't have much to post about it yet, I've decided to put the original Life up for download. Source, plus Mac binary; I looked into compiling an exe, but it wouldn't work because of a missing font dll. All you need to run it is python and pygame, which both have straightforward installers on windows. Don't talk to Prop about the Mac pygame installer.
A warning: I left in the console spam that I habitually add to games. And there is bad language in it. Don't run it from source with children watching the screen, or show them the console log if you run it from binary!

So, what are we looking at? >

Time to make some music!
I'm also interested to know if you have problems running it, particularly PowerPC Macs. Pretty sure it's compiled for Universal.
Comment or email with any suggestions, questions, bugs, etc.!
Hackday post coming later today.

Laika (free download)

Although this isn't strictly a Propellor and Ratchet game (I developed it alone), I'm posting it up here in the hope that it finds someone who enjoys playing it. At the moment, I've only included a Windows binary download, but I've also been working with Ratchet on a download for OS X, who bravely gave me SSH access to his Mac and went on to investigate packaging into an App. For Linux users, I've tested it in Wine and it seems to work. I do hope, however, to open-source the underlying code as soon as it's fulfilled its purpose (of getting me a real job).

It's best played with an XBOX 360 Controller, but the keyboard can also be used. See the included README file for instructions.
Downloads:
Windows (.zip)
OS X (.dmg)
Ratchet note:
Both the .dmg and the app are quite experimental, so please comment if you have trouble running it.
The app won't work if there are spaces in the path leading up to it (~/bob/ stuff/Laika.app).
It will definitely run on Snow Leopard; because Ben compiled it manually I don't know if it will work on 10.5 or earlier, or on PPC.
