2010 Points

During 2009, if you signed up in our first 6 months (April to September) you got 200 P&R points; if you signed up between October and December, you got 100. It's now 2010, so, now what?

Well, we were going to leave people with no points, but it's nicer to have something to show for signing up. So, now you get 10 points just for signing up. We'll see how that goes.
I've also added a couple of special events that will net you 50 or 100 sign-up points, too. Anniversaries, milestones, that sort of thing.

The points are a bit useless at the moment, but in the future they'll get you money off games, at least, and probably money off anything else we sell. It makes sense to stock up.

As for getting them other ways than signing up, well, it'll most likely be through playing our games and posting on our forum. That's probably pretty obvious. We'll probably also be running competitions and things like that, too.

So, next week, expect an excited post about Life in 3D, which is our latest project and learning exercise. It's going pretty well, and we have some nice plans for it. We'll probably also release the source code for Python Life soon (the one you've seen screenshots of), for people to mess around with, or run just to see what happens. It's an exercise in reading my terribly inefficient code, though.
